I caught up with Lauren last week and talked wedding plans, so I thought it would be a great time to post this session we did back in November. It is hard to remember that lovely weather after the snowstorm that came through today. Lauren and Eric both have a love for buildings and wanted to capture that in their engagement photos. I loved their vision and am so excited about how they turned out! As an architecture student, I was thrilled to capture some beautiful spaces around Cincinnati. Their adorable pup also joined us. He looked so regal with his bowtie.
Every time I asked Eric and Lauren to kiss, Lauren would try to pull away and laugh. Eric was more than happy to sneak a kiss on the cheek, and those are some of my favorite images. It is obvious that these two are in love and make each other so happy. It makes me smile!
Eric and Lauren, you two are so much fun to hang out with. I cannot wait to photograph your beautiful destination wedding in the spring!
As I reflect on this year, I am overwhelmed with gratefulness. Grateful for the incredible friends and family who have encouraged me. Grateful for the incredible photographers who have mentored me. Grateful for a husband who showers me with so much love. And grateful for a Savior who has blessed me beyond anything I could ever imagine. Here are a few of my favorite images from the past year. I cannot wait to see what is in store for 2014.Coors family, you are all so beautiful. I loved capturing your joy and can’t wait for next year when there will be another addition to your lovely family. Andy and Becky, you two are so adorable. I love your hearts and your smiles. She is beautiful inside and out, and I am so proud of all that she has done this year. Ashten is heading to Australia next week. Ash, I will miss you a ton, but I can’t wait to hear about your incredible adventures.
Arielle and I were roommates in college, and I was thrilled when she asked me to take some photos of her and her soon to be hubby. I had never met Matt before, but I quickly approved. Arielle and Matt are perfect for each other. I have never seen her quite so happy :). It also helped that he opened my door and bought my lunch…such a gentleman!
Arielle asked if they could get some shots at Devou Park overlooking the city. Matt proposed at this very spot, and I thought it was the perfect location.
They also told me they were nervous in front of the camera. I was shocked. I mean look at Arielle. She could be a model!
Arielle and Matt, thank you so much for inviting me along. I cannot wait to celebrate your wedding!
Two years ago I made the best decision of my life. I married my best friend who continues to support and love me more every day. Our wedding day was incredible, and we are grateful for the friends and family that celebrated with us. Everyone says that marriage is hard work, but I would disagree. I think it is mostly beautiful and fun, full of laughter. My husband reminds me daily of God’s grace, and I am so thankful to have found him years before I was planning. This anniversary is special as we move into the next chapter of our lives. This is the last year we will be celebrating in Cincinnati, the last year we are free from the responsibilities of growing up. So while we still can, we are enjoying this day a little slowly. Sleeping in, stopping by Starbucks for our favorite fall drink, making a special breakfast, and soaking up this crisp morning.
Todd, I love you so much more after only two years. I can only imagine how amazing the next fifty will be. “I do” every single day. I am so thankful for these beautiful photos that I still look through often. Darlene, you are the best!
These two are my favorite. All smiles the entire session, despite the blazing heat. I even brought along my trusty assistant (aka my handsome hubby). He might have only agreed because he knew we were all going out for burgers after. But I’m going to pretend he was dying to help me out :). He held my camera bag and kept everyone laughing. I might have to bring him along more often.
Andy and Becky, you two are beautiful inside and out. Thank you for spending the evening with us, and we are so grateful to call you our family and friends.
